Les Logis des Magnans are ideally located to enjoy countless historical sites and a wide variety of landscapes.

Between Nîmes, Montpellier and Alès, our holiday rentals lie at the foot of the Cévennes – a UNESCO World Heritage site – near the medieval village of Sauve (labelled “Village of Character”) and Quissac (3 km away) with its local market and many shops.

The Vidourle, a coastal river, links the Cévennes to the Camargue and its Mediterranean beaches, flowing through our history-filled villages.

From the Logis des Magnans estate at La Magnanerie, you can enjoy marked hiking trails (GR, PR) and a greenway.

A former magnanerie — “the house of the magnans”, an Occitan word likely derived from magna (“to eat”). The magnan is the silkworm, a great consumer of mulberry leaves. Thus began sericulture.

La Magnanerie, known at the beginning of the last century as “La Grande Magnanière”, has quite a history… A very old farmhouse, it became a magnanerie when mulberry cultivation and silkworm farming were highly profitable in the region of Sauve and the Cévennes.
